What is SpeakGrowly?
SpeakGrowly is an online speaking practice room that runs right in your browser. Practice presentations, interviews, debates, storytelling, discussion on any topic, or spoken English — alone or with 1–3 friends. An AI coach leads each 20–30 minute session through 5 steps and gives every person private feedback.
How does Growly, the AI coach, work?
Growly is SpeakGrowly's AI coach. It listens and replies by voice in real time (powered by Google Gemini Live). It knows who's speaking, calls on each of you by name, plays the audience, the interviewer, or your debate opponent, shares turns evenly, and suggests better ways to say things after you finish speaking.
What if I don't know what topic to practice?
Pick a practice type (for example, Presentation) and tap “Suggest for me”: AI proposes a few topics with goals, a scenario, and an opening outline. Choose one, tweak it if you like, and your 5-step lesson plan is ready instantly.
Do I practice in Vietnamese or English?
It's up to you. Presentations, interviews, debates, storytelling, and discussions all work in Vietnamese or English. If you want to study English properly, choose Language learning: the bilingual AI teacher adjusts how much Vietnamese it uses to your level, from A0 to C2.
Can I practice with friends?
Yes. Create a room, choose group practice, and send your friends the invite link; each room holds 1 to 4 people plus the AI coach. Group practice helps you get used to speaking in front of others and fielding questions like a real audience would ask.
Are sessions recorded?
No. Audio is never recorded; your voice is sent directly to Google Gemini only during practice so the coach can hear and respond. Saving a transcript for your reports is optional, and you can delete your data at any time.
Who can see my feedback?
Only you. Tips and post-session reports are private and never shown to others in the room. The shared summary only includes turn counts and group goals — never anyone's words or mistakes.
What does SpeakGrowly measure when I speak?
After each session, you'll see your estimated pace (words per minute) and filler words such as “um”, “like”, and “you know”, plus feedback on structure, clarity, persuasiveness, and examples. These are estimates from your transcript to help you practice — not a test score or certificate.
What devices do I need?
A computer or phone with a modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox) and a microphone. A camera is optional and off by default.

SpeakGrowly is being tested with a small group. Join the waitlist on the home page: once you confirm your email and you're approved, you'll get an invite email with 10 free practice minutes.
